Waiting on Wednesday #27

Hosted by Breaking the Spine: A Platform to share the unreleased book I’m impatiently patiently waiting to get my hands on now…Gimme Gimme Now!!!!

(Darkest London #3)

Poppy Lane is keeping secrets. Her powerful gift has earned her membership in the Society for the Suppression of Supernaturals, but she must keep both her ability and her alliance with the Society from her husband, Winston. Yet when Winston is brutally attacked by a werewolf, Poppy’s secrets are revealed, leaving Winston’s trust in her as broken as his body. Now Poppy will do anything to win back his affections . . .

Their relationship is now put to the ultimate test.
Winston Lane soon regains his physical strength but his face and heart still bear the scars of the vicious attack. Drawn into the darkest depths of London, Winston must fight an evil demon that wants to take away the last hope of reconciliation with his wife. As a former police inspector, Winston has intelligence and logic on his side. But it will take the strength of Poppy’s love for him to defeat the forces that threaten to tear them apart.

These books get more awesome and hotter with each exciting installment. Kristen Callihan is not only an author I enjoy as person, she’s also a phenomenal writer. I’ve been lucky enough to review the two prior installments early and I’m hoping the third time is a charm because I’m too impatient to wait until February for this release. Oh and isn’t the cover stunning?? Click below to read my reviews on the first two books in the series

Firelight (Darkest London #1) by Kristen Callihan
Moonglow (Darkest London #2) by Kristen Callihan

Is that Lothaire on the cover? I mean Paul Marron. I need to start this series.

  3. I haven’t read the first two books in the series but this one sounds awesome. I’ll look into them and hopefully I’ll get a chance to read them. I’m just curious, in what year is the plot set into. I also love the cover.
    Great pick. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve never even heard of Kristen Callihan but they look like my kind of books. I’m adding Firelight to my wish-list. :) Great cover.

      Hi Adina,

For some reason your blog wont let me comment, so I’m copying & pasting mine here.
      Hi Adina :-)
I have yet to read Karen Chance but it’s one of those series I’ve planned to eventually read! Thank you for sharing and visiting my WoW post!!! Hope you enjoy this book, I wish I was caught up!! Happy Hump Day!:)

  6. Cathy says:

I haven’t read this series, but seems interesting. Thanks for sharing. Here’s my WoW

  7. this cover is gorgeous!!! *stare* I want to get it as a poster and put it on my wall somewhere!! I still haven’t read the other two books but it’s definitely high on my TBR! I’ll get to it before the 3rd book’s release hopefully!

  8. Mel says:

Such a pretty cover <3 I love the dress she is wearing! I really need to get started in these books. Great pick and thanks for reminding me ^^

    My WoW pick :)

  9. Braine says:

I am loving everything about this book from the cover to the story. I can tell this is going to be intense!

  10. Can you believe I haven’t read Moonglow yet?! I’m so ashamed of myself. Review books are causing me to get way behind in some of my favorite series.

P.S. Can you tell I’m excited about Endgame? It’s so close!!!

    • MissVain says:

      Cat has Jax Fever,

I’m surprised you never read Moonglow. I understand the review books getting in the way, of pleasure reads! Boooooo :(

P.s. I know the ending of Endgame. I couldn’t wait, i had to find out the outcome, LMAO!! I figured you didn’t want it ruined for you.:)

      • No way! You cheated?! That’s no fun. Who did you bribe?

I finished Fourth Grave last night. Didn’t sleep until 4am. Reyes was doing some illegal underground fighting..made me think of Travis.

        • MissVain says:

Hahaha you Reyes lover you!! You know I totally forgot to request that book, I guess I should see if they have any ARC’s left. You know what’s funny is that St. Martin’s sends me books I never request, now why can’t that have been one, LOL. Glad you rated it 5 stars though. ;)

P.s. Annie at UTC read it, and because Jamie has been just devastated over Jax and March I found out for her, I didn’t tell you because I knew you didn’t want it spoiled. ;)

          • Mrs. Farrow says:

How did I know Jamie would be involved? LOL! Hopefully you ladies were pleased with the outcome. And yes, you know me so well because I want to know absolutely nothing about it.

I know what you mean about the random books. A couple of weeks ago I received a hardcover copy of The Treachery of Beautiful Things. I’m still confused about why I got that one. And Tor sent me…um…Black Bottle? Or something like that. Not that I don’t appreciate the thought, but it’s a $28.00 hardcover that I most likely won’t be reading.
