Sunday Book Gossip

Sunday Book Gossip is inspired by The Story Siren, however it is not a meme. It is simply to reflect on the past week on my blog and to share the books I’ve received from either publishers for review or purchased myself or won! Please feel free to stop by and share your Book Gossip with me in the comment box below, or leave your blog link and I’ll visit you as well!

Finished Copies from Publishers:

Beautiful Disaster

The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Re-Releasing August 14, 2012

This is one of my most favorite love stories and an absolute favorite of mine this year, to see my review click HERE I read this book while it was Indie published (I’m a huge fan of Indie books) and so I was super excited to receive a paperback copy from the new publisher Atria a division of Simon & Schuster. I also have a giveaway coming up with this book so please keep an eye out! ;)

Girl Of Nightmares

It’s been months since the ghost of Anna Korlov opened a door to Hell in her basement and disappeared into it, but ghost-hunter Cas Lowood can’t move on.

His friends remind him that Anna sacrificed herself so that Cas could live—not walk around half dead. He knows they’re right, but in Cas’s eyes, no living girl he meets can compare to the dead girl he fell in love with.

Now he’s seeing Anna everywhere: sometimes when he’s asleep and sometimes in waking nightmares. But something is very wrong…these aren’t just daydreams. Anna seems tortured, torn apart in new and ever more gruesome ways every time she appears.

Cas doesn’t know what happened to Anna when she disappeared into Hell, but he knows she doesn’t deserve whatever is happening to her now. Anna saved Cas more than once, and it’s time for him to return the favor.

Kiss Of Steel

He craves her like no other…

Honoria Todd has no choice. Only in the dreaded Whitechapel district can she escape the long reach of the Duke of Vickers. But seeking refuge there will put her straight into the hands of Blade, legendary master of the rookeries. No one would dare cross him, but what price would he demand to keep her safe?

Ever since Vickers infected him with the craving, Blade has been quicker, stronger, almost immortal—and terrified of losing control of the monster within. Honoria could be his perfect revenge against the duke…or the salvation he never dared to dream of.

Gabriel’s Rapture

Professor Gabriel Emerson has embarked on a passionate, yet clandestine affair with his former student, Julia Mitchell.

Sequestered on a romantic holiday in Italy, he tutors her in the sensual delights of the body and the raptures of sex. But when they return, their happiness is threatened by conspiring students, academic politics, and a jealous ex-lover.

When Gabriel is confronted by the university administration, will he succumb to Dante’s fate? Or will he fight to keep Julia, his Beatrice, forever?

In Gabriel’s Rapture, the brilliant sequel to the wildly successful debut novel, Gabriel’s Inferno, Sylvain Reynard weaves an exquisite love story that will touch the reader’s mind, body, and soul, forever.

Re-Releasing September 4, 2012

This is another Indie author (I own the first book) that has been picked up by Berkley, a romance division of Penguin Books due to the authors success.

        Hi Braine,

Oh Jamie LOVED Kiss of Steel, she said its sexy PNR at its finest, and she kept text messaging me quotes throughout the day while she was reading, and when she bust out the text messages that means she’s infatuated with it.

Oh and YES I’m totally going to be taking notes and studying up the Kama Sutra while simultaneously reading Swimming For Dummies!! I hope you’re reading up on how to drown skanks in pursuit of my man…..LOL

        • Braine says:

LMAO! I will start my scuba diving training soon and I am planning to swim with the Sharks to better hone my skills. You should do synchronozed swimming too so you can do kinky stuff in the pool as well, I don’t want you to drown.

We are going crazy over this! I love it!
