Q: This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother’s Day, in celebration, What are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?

Most books I read have either an absentee mother, a horrible mother, or just not one worth mentioning. On that firstly choice for favorite mother/daughter pairing would be (without series spoilers) half vampire Cat Russell & her very prejudiced against vampires mother Justine  from the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. Christina is dramatic, argumentative, crazy, yet loving. Six books later I love her mother in spite of all her schenanegans. She makes every scene she and the fierce, and fearless Cat Russell I love as well, a laugh out loud moments.

What about you? What is your favorite mother/daughter pairing? I would love to know your answers! Leave me a comment! Happy Friday!!♥♥

I thought about using this book, too :) Good call, MV :)

  2. This question was super hard especially since I always hate/don’t care for the mother in the books I”ve read. They’ve not really made a big impression on me. Though I agree I am liking Cat’s mother more now. I remember at the beginning at the series I wanted to strangle her. That’s progress right? LOL

I completely forgot about her, but you’re right.. She’s a cool character. I like that she goes through such an development. I wouldn’t want her to be my mom (because mine is cooler, hah) but I really appreciate all of her scenes!

  5. I must agree! It took me a while to get an answer. I don’t pay much attention to poor mentioned mothers on the YA. Which are mostly!
