Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then “broke up” with later on in either the……series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

When I first started reading the Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead I was excited to have a Bad-Ass heroine that’s not afraid of anything. Eugenie is a powerful Shaman that banishes creatures of the Underworld back to where they belong. She’s sassy, courageous, ruthless and smart. By the end of the series (although I Love this series) she’s bitchy, selfish, inconsiderate, dishonest and I wanted to kill her and steal Dorian. LOL.

But Please do read this series because it’s a must read!! A Iove triangle that I couldn’t help revel in it the entire time involving a sexy shapeshifter named Kiyo and my favorite and arrogant, gorgeous Fey King named Dorian.

What about you?? Have you fallen in love with a character only to break up with them later? I would love to know your choices, leave me a comment. Happy Friday! ♥ ♥

      Hi Kristina :)

Yes she is even more annoying in the last book, and I didn’t enjoy the last book! Overall this is a great series though :) Thanks for visiting!

  3. I absolutely agree with you about Eugenie, especially the way she treated Dorian in the end.

I have yet to read this series yet, but it sounds really interesting. It’s a bummer the main character is so bad though.

I almost picked her, because of her poor decisions … dammit woman!

  6. kah_cherub says:

You’re not the first to answer that. LOL. I really have to finish this series. :)

  7. Anita Blake and Sookie Stackhouse.

I have Hit List on my shelf and I can’t bring myself to read it. I only have it because I won it. I’ll get to it by the end of the year but I’m not in any hurry.

I usually ask for the new Sookie book for Mother’s Day since they usually release in May. But I’ve told hubby not to get the new one coming out next week (Deadlocked). I told him I’ll just check it out from the library. Since there is only one more book after that one in the series I’ll force myself to read them just to see how it ends.

I’m not as excited about these series anymore. IMO they have gone on for too long. In the case of Sookie I like the show more than the books.

I hope I don’t end up disliking the main character by the end.

  12. There are a lot of people hating on these books this week :)

Great choice! I really liked this series, but I felt some of those things about her too at the end. I’m still very glad that I read this series though, because overall it was great :-)
