Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

Most of the time I’m pretty good at picking books I enjoy from my favorite genres, (since I know what I like)so majority of the time I’m so swept away in the story that I have no desire to pick up another book to read, and to be honest I’m not that efficient of a multi tasker!;)

What about you? Do you read one book at a time or several? Please share your reading preference in the comment below! Join the fun!;) Happy Friday!!!!

I can’t multitask when it comes to books either. And like you said, if I’m really invested in a book then I don’t want to pick another one up anyway.

  4. Tina B says:

Lol. I agree, Miss Vain. I can only read 1 book at a time. When I was working, I was very good at multi-tasking, but with stories, they start blending together. :)
    Thanks for sharing.

    • MissVain says:

      Hi Tina :)

Thank you for visiting!!;) I know the feeling, the stories all blend together and now you’re confused if Sookie is dating Bones or Cat is dating Eric??! Lol, see that could be a catastrophe if you get the world building confused! Lol ;)

      Have a great weekend!:)

  5. Jade says:

Nine times out of ten I only have one book going and I only want to read one book. I will have two if I’ve started one on my e-reader as I like to read and walk my dog, and I don’t want to walk the dog holding my Nook. New follower!

  6. _yay_ says:

I’m a multi-tasker. When it comes to books: 2 at a time. I can also do other things while reading.

I can read 2 books at a time( I just discovered this like a month ago.lol) But I hardly ever do it. I probably have twice. I am the kind of person who needs to read and review a book before I can pick up another book. My brain is getting worn down in my old age.lol

    • MissVain says:

HAHAHA!!! Worn down with old age pshhhh, I’ve got how many years?? I think u have 4 years on you brat! Lol, I’m like a grandma to you Sawesome!!;) lol

Agreed I also much review first which there’s a few books I have not reviewed and I’m paying for it now! Lol

      Thanks for visiting Sawesome!!!!!

I almost always have at least 2-3 books going. I love to read, I have two e readers, and my TBR list is always out of control. I love it though. Maybe I should try to take it one at a time at some point.

    Love the blog

    • MissVain says:

      Hi Antane :)

That’s very impressive, 2-3 books?? How ever do you manage that??;) I wish I could, I would probably finish books quicker! No way, keep what you’re doing!!!:)

Thanks for visiting Antane, and for the blog <3

I don’t read more than one book at a time very often.. It’s just that most of the times I read books in one sitting, so stopping in between to pick something else up feels a little odd. ; )

I’m better at multi-tasking and have often found myself reading more than one at a time.

  13. I’m usually the same when it comes to reading a book.
If a book is interesting, then I’ll only read one, but if it gets boring then I start a second book as well !

  17. Tara says:

I’m not very efficient at multitasking either! I always end up favouring one book over the other if I try reading two, so it turns into me reading just the one book anyway!

  18. Rea says:

I’m more of a multi-tasker than anything else, even when it comes to reading, but I do tend to get swept away by one book that I prefer over the others!

I usually read 2 books at the same time but only if they are different genres. Otherwise it’s harder to keep the facts straight.
I usually read and ebook each night for an hour or two before bedtime, and during the day I listen to an audio book while I’m doing tasks I can do mindlessly.

    • MissVain says:

      Hi Monica :)
That’s very clever to listen to audio while doing chores and stuff! What a great idea! I should try that!!:) I might could read books quicker lol.

Thank you for sharing!! Have an awesome weekend!!

  21. I can read more than one book at a time, but it does cause some confusion. I usually try to pick different genres (though that doesn’t seem to be the case right now) and take notes.

  29. I’m a one-book-at-a-time kinda girl. :) I also get so swept away by a story (usually) that I’m dying to see what will happen next, and I have no interest in starting another book until I’m finished with this one. Plus the whole getting confused with all the different characters, etc. that goes along with more than one book at a time. ;)

I usually read a book at a time. If I get a second one to read without finishing the other one it’s because I’m losing interest on it and need a break to make my mind on keep reading it or just give up totally on it…
