Books I received for review this week!

Chasing Magic

A DEADLY HIGHMagic-wielding Churchwitch and secret addict Chess Putnamknows better than anyone just how high a price people are willing to pay for a chemical rush. But when someone with money to burn and a penchant for black magic starts tampering with Downside’s drug supply, Chess realizes that the unlucky customers are paying with their souls—and taking the innocent with them, as the magic-infused speed compels them to kill in the most gruesome ways possible.

As if the streets weren’t scary enough, the looming war between the two men in her life explodes, taking even more casualties and putting Chess squarely in the middle. Downside could become a literal ghost town if Chess doesn’t find a way to stop both the war and the dark wave of death-magic, and the only way to do that is to use both her addiction and her power to enter the spell and chase the magic all the way back to its malevolent source.

Too bad that doing so will probably kill Chess—if the war doesn’t first destroy the man who’s become her reason for living.

Wicked As They Come

Have you ever heard of a Bludman? They’re rather like you and me—only more fabulous, immortal, and mostly indestructible. (They’re also very good kissers.) Delilah S. Dawson’s darkly tempting debut drops her unsuspecting heroine into a strange faraway land for a romantic adventure that’s part paranormal, part steampunk . . . and completely irresistible.

When Tish Everett forces open the ruby locket she finds at an estate sale, she has no idea that a deliciously rakish Bludman has cast a spell just for her. She wakes up in a surreal world, where Criminy Stain, the dashing proprietor of a magical traveling circus, curiously awaits. At Criminy’s electric touch, Tish glimpses a tantalizing future, but she also foresees her ultimate doom. Before she can decide whether to risk her fate with the charming daredevil, the locket disappears, and with it, her only chance to return home. Tish and Criminy battle roaring sea monsters and thundering bludmares, vengeful ghosts and crooked Coppers in a treacherous race to recover the necklace from the evil Blud-hating Magistrate.

But if they succeed, will Tish forsake her fanged suitor and return to her normal life, or will she take a chance on an unpredictable but dangerous destiny with the Bludman she’s coming to love?

Books I’ve purchased this week!

Beautiful Disaster

Isn’t this cover fantastic? But in a grotesquely wonderfully disturbing way?? Well this has been recommended to me “for those Fifty Shades of Grey obsessed”……..Did you mention Fifty?? I’m there!

Slave to Sensation

Well, I’m already a huge Nalini Singh fan through her Guild Hunter series, so why have I not read these?? Well simply because I get overwhelmed and intimidated when a series has so many books already released, so I’ve decided if I don’t catch up now, I never will!;)

So, tell me What’s in your mailbox this week!!

So now that I’ve shared my books this week with you, please stop by and share yours!! If you’re a blogger please leave me your links so I can visit your post as well! Lucky. Some of those covers just make me -need- to read them.

The Psy-Changeling book just looks so embarrassing. I would not want to carry a book covered in pink smoke and a hot man around. I have it on my Kindle.
